Lina M. Acosta, MPH is a Research Associate at the Center for Research and Evaluation on Education and Human Services (CREEHS) at Montclair State University. She has more than 5 years of experience in conducting applied research and evaluation in the areas of public health and human services. Ms. Acosta has been responsible for managing and providing support on a number of local and statewide evaluations that have focused on community health assessments, aging in place, childhood obesity prevention, and policy, systems, and environmental change around healthy eating and active living. In addition, she has 3 years of experience in the child welfare system having worked in a research and advocacy role. Ms. Acosta has presented at national conferences, including the American Evaluation Association (AEA) and American Public Health Association (APHA). Ms. Acosta holds a Master of Public Health in Quantitative Methods from the Rutgers School of Public Health at Rutgers University – Newark Campus.
