Dr. Mitch Sitnick is an Assistant Professor of Biology. Dr. Sitnick received a B.S. in Biology from The College of New Jersey, and his Ph.D. in Molecular, Cellular, and Integrative Physiology from the University of California, Davis. Dr. Sitnick is a systemic physiologist investigating how chronic conditions alter the regulation of skeletal muscle function. Since receiving his degree, Dr. Sitnick has been focusing on the interactions and communication between skeletal muscle and lipids, particularly with obesity, aging and exercise, and how lipid hydrolysis contributes to normal function and disease states.
