Rebecca Swann-Jackson, Ph.D. is a Senior Research Associate at the Center for Research and Evaluation on Education and Human Services (CREEHS) in the College of Education and Human Services. She has been leading the Education team at CREEHS since 2013.
Dr. Swann-Jackson has 17 years of experience as an evaluator of educational programs and community-based initiatives serving urban children and families. She has managed evaluations for varied clients, including university faculty, school districts, state departments of education, community organizations and foundations, and child welfare agencies. An experienced methodologist, she has applied evaluation principles to projects focused on teacher preparation, curriculum development, education reform, school-based programs for at-risk youth, family homelessness, child welfare, community health, community revitalization, substance use, and school violence. She has a PhD in Family Science and Human Development from Montclair State University as well as a Masters in Education from Rutgers University, with a concentration in Statistics, Measurement, and Evaluation.
