Identity and Access Management Systems

The IAMS project will implement the ForgeRock Open Identity stack (OpenIDM, OpenDJ, OpenAM, OpenIG ) to deliver identity management and access control capabilities to Montclair State University. The ForgeRock Identity stack will replace the legacy NetID application. If you have any questions, please reach out to any member of project team.

Project Updates

  • The RFP for our implementation vendor was completed and the Board of Trustees approved our selection of Identity Fusion at the end of October.
  • An overview and status of this project has been communicated to the Montclair State executive team. The IT project team has been holding engagement meetings with key stakeholders and managers in the business units and will continue to do so upon return from the winter break.
  • We currently expect to have the Identity Fusion team on site by late January. The project will begin with a series of preliminary design workshops with our technical resources and various stakeholders/participants:
  • The tentative schedule calls for a series of three to four day workshops over a period of seven weeks.
  • An initial kick-off meeting will occur during the first workshop that all participants/stakeholders will be asked to attend.
  • Stakeholders/participants will not be asked to attend all workshops. The workshops are topic oriented and range from technical to policy/workflow discussions. However, it is vitally important that stakeholders/participants or their designated alternates attend the workshops they have been invited to.
