One-Year Reappointment - Unit Professional Staff: Unit Professional Staff Members in Their First Year of Service*

 

Note:  all dates are “no later than.”  For example, the first step, submission of candidate recommendation form, must occur no later than Friday, January 11, 2019.

January 11, 2019 - Submission of candidate recommendation form to immediate supervisor

January 18, 2019 - Recommendation to candidate from immediate supervisor

January 25, 2019 - Recommendation of immediate supervisor to unit head

February 1, 2019 - Recommendation from unit head to division vice president

February 15, 2019 - Recommendation to President and candidate from division Vice President

February 22, 2019 - Last day candidate can request meeting with division Vice President, and; review of submitted recommendation packages by Human Resources

March 2, 2019 - Recommendations from President to Board of Trustees and notification to professional staff members

April 10, 2019 – Board of Trustees Meeting

April 11, 2019 - Notification of Board of Trustees’ action

April 26, 2019 - Acceptance of reappointment to president or designee

Multi-Year Reappointment - Unit Professional Staff Members That Have Completed Five Years of Service and are Eligible for Their Initial Multi-Year Contract*

Note:  all dates are “no later than.”  For example, the first step, consultation between immediate supervisor and candidate, must occur no later than Thursday, October 11, 2018.

 

October 11, 2018 – Consultation between immediate supervisor and candidate, and submission of candidate recommendation form to immediate supervisor

October 16, 2018 - Recommendation of department, program or function head to immediate supervisor

October 22, 2018 - Immediate supervisor notifies candidate of recommendation

October 26, 2018 - Recommendation of immediate supervisor to unit head

November 2, 2018- Recommendation of unit head to division Vice President

November 21, 2018– Recommendation to President and candidate from division Vice President

November 28, 2018 – Last day candidate can request a meeting with the division Vice President, and; review of submitted recommendation packages by Human Resources

November 30, 2018 - Division Vice President provides their final recommendation to the President

December 10, 2018 - Recommendation from President to Board of Trustees and notification to professional staff members (including statement on career development needs, if pertinent)

December 21, 2018 – Board of Trustees Meeting

December 21, 2018 - Notification of Board of Trustees’ action

January 18, 2019 - Acceptance of multi-year contract to president or designee

Multi-Year Reappointment - Unit Professional Staff Members on Multi-Year Contracts which Expire June 30, 2019*

March 15, 2019 - Recommendation of immediate supervisor to unit head

March 29, 2019 - Recommendation of unit head to division Vice President

April 12, 2019 - Recommendation to President and candidate from division Vice President

April 19, 2019 – Last day candidate can request a meeting with the division Vice President

April 26, 2019 - Division Vice President provides their final recommendation to the President

May 31, 2019 - Recommendation from President to Board of Trustees and notification to professional staff members (including statement on career development needs, if pertinent
