Assessment, Accreditation and Institutional Effectiveness

The purpose of academic assessment and accreditation at Montclair State University is continuing improvement of the overall educational experience of our students and institutional effectiveness. This is achieved through different activities that aim at establishing a practice of research that informs planning, and results in measurable improvements for our students. The main goal of the academic assessment and accreditation program at Montclair State is to produce relevant and reliable data for aligning curricular design, course content, and pedagogical approaches consistent with the University’s Mission and Strategic Plan.
