Sarah R. Lowe, assistant professor in the Department of Psychology<\/a>, was interviewed for two recent media articles on trauma and mental health: “For Katrina survivors, Harvey could take an even bigger toll<\/a>” by E. A. Crunden of ThinkProgress<\/em> and “Immigrant protections have halved kids\u2019 mental health problems<\/a>” by Mallory Locklear of New Scientist<\/em>.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Lowe is a clinical psychologist who teaches in the graduate child clinical psychology program. Lowe\u2019s area of research is on the long-term psychological consequences of traumatic events, including natural and human-made disasters, community and interpersonal violence, and childhood abuse and neglect.<\/p>\n
