The general ban on international travel remains in effect, but special exceptions may be made by the Provost in consultation with the Occupational Health Department (for employees) or the University Health Center (for students).

Individuals who are not fully vaccinated, including those who have an approved exemption on file, are not permitted to travel for University-related reasons, other than within NJ and the four-state region (CT, DE, PA, NY), and this travel must be approved in advance by their Dean or Vice President.

Definitions

  • Domestic Travel = travel to any U.S. state or territory outside of NJ, other than CT, DE, PA or NY, for more than 24 hours
  • Fully vaccinated = two weeks after the final dose of vaccine
  • Group travel = A group of Montclair State students and/or employees are travelling together for University purposes

Please note: As of May 19, 2021, New Jersey’s travel advisory is no longer in effect. People coming into New Jersey do not need to quarantine on arrival. However, the state says that you should continue to follow travel guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the NJ Department of Health, and all local health and safety protocols of your travel destination.
