Temoney is a former Assistant Dean of Students and currently an Assistant Professor. She is the co-chair of the Religion, Holocaust, and Genocide Unit of the American Academy of Religion and a co-founder of the Genocide Education and Prevention Project (GEAPP). She earned a BA from Wake Forest University, an MEd from The College of William &amp; Mary, and an MA and PhD from Florida State University. Trained as a comparative religious ethicist, Dr. Temoney\u2019s research interests include human rights, genocide, and theory of history; her international publications and presentations address the intersections of religion, human rights, and mass atrocities. A selection of her recent and forthcoming works are: Anatomizing White Rage: \u2018Race is My Religion!\u2019 and \u2018White Genocide,\u2019\u201d <em>The Religion of White Rage: White Workers, Religious Fervor, and the Myth of Racial Progress<\/em> (University of Edinburgh Press, 2020); \u201cAn Assessment of the Plan of Action for Religious Leaders and Actors to Prevent Incitement to Violence that Could Lead to Atrocity Crimes,&#8221;\u00a0<em>Routledge Handbook on Religion and Genocide<\/em> (Routledge, forthcoming); and an \u201cHistorical Understanding and Reconciliation after Violent Conflict,\u201d <em>Historical Understanding<\/em>, co-author Berber Bevernage (Bloomsbury Academic, forthcoming). His primary research area is the Native North American encounter with Christianity.\u00a0 His current research explores the intersection of religion and environmental justice. He teaches courses including Native American Religions, Religious Experience, Interreligious Encounters, Christian Liberation Theologies, Religion and Social Activism and Introduction to Religion. His latest book project is <em>Crow Jesus: First-Person Narratives of Native American Religious Belonging<\/em> published by the University of Oklahoma Press (2017). He is also the author of <em>Demons, Saints, &amp; Patriots: Catholic Visions of Native America (1902-1962)<\/em> published by Marquette University Press (2009).\u00a0 Dr. Clatterbuck is currently working on a research project titled <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/louisville-institute.org\/our-impact\/awards\/project-grant-for-researchers\/14962\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/louisville-institute.org\/our-impact\/awards\/project-grant-for-researchers\/14962\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1597343229326000&amp;usg=AFQjCNHDTUe6i1kkWmp0gSm1Jz8eMdyv0w\">&#8220;Faith on the Frontlines: Religious Eco-Activism in an Age of Climate Crisis.&#8221;<\/a> The field-based research project is funded by a generous grant (2020-2021) through the Louisville\u00a0Institute. His research interests include the study of modern religious reform, Islamic ethics and legal theory, and Qur&#8217;anic studies. He teaches courses including: Islamic Religious Traditions; Introduction to the Qur&#8217;an; Islam in the Contemporary World; Jihad, Just War and the Prospect of Peace; and Islamic Ethics and Law. His research interests include: the comparative study of religious violence and the relationship between religion and the state in an increasingly interconnected global society. He teaches courses such as: Death, Dying, and the Afterlife; Religion and Culture; and Religion and Politics, and is the co-author of <em>God in the Tumult of the Global Square<\/em>\u00a0(with Mark Juergensmeyer and Dinah Griego, University of California Press [2015]). S.
