Open House Set for Sunday, November 7

Montclair State University is hosting its final Open House of the semester this Sunday, November 7. During sessions that highlight five majors, prospective students and their families can learn more about the amazing opportunities at the School of Communication and Media.

SCM features enthusiastic and experienced faculty and staff who are dedicated to bringing hands-on learning experiences to students at all levels, including clubs and co-curricular opportunities that students can join their first year. 

Students can  explore opportunities to create and produce content at SCM’s radio station (WMSC), newspaper (The Montclarion), news station (News Lab), sports network (Red Hawk Sports Network) and agency (Hawk Communications) in addition to many other organizations such as the School’s Public Relations Student Society of America chapter. 

All of these media organizations, clubs and classes are located in a beautiful, state-of-the-art facility. With new majors (including Advertising and Social Media & Public Relations) to reflect the needs of the changing communication and media landscape, the opportunities are endless.
