Create a Digital Signature

The Proposal Routing Form requires the creation of a secure digital signature. Here are step-by-step instructions to assist users. Please contact Sam Wolverton at wolvertons@montclair.edu or extension 3223 with any questions.

1. Click on the appropriate Signature field.

2. The Add Digital ID box will pop up. Select A new digital ID I want to create now and click Next.

3. The next window will default to New PKCS#12 digital ID file. Leave this selected and click Next.

4. Fill out the NameOrganizational Unit (i.e, department), Organization Name (the University), and Email Address fields only. Click Next.

5. Enter a password in the Password field and retype it in the Confirm Password field. Click Finish.

6. ‌The signature has been created and the document is ready to be signed. Enter the password from Step 5 in the Password field and then click Sign.
