This committee will read and review the Student-Led Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activities proposals submitted by Montclair students, and make funding recommendations to the Vice Provost for Research.<\/p>\n<p>Committee responsibilities and time commitments are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attend a committee orientation (mid-June 2026)<\/li>\n<li>Participate in self-guided and group reviewer training activities regarding conflict of interest, project merit and impact, and recognizing implicit bias in the review process (late June 2026)<\/li>\n<li>Read and provide constructive feedback on an assigned subset of program proposals (July 2026)<\/li>\n<li>Attend virtual committee meeting(s) to discuss proposals and make funding recommendations (7\/20\/26 &#8211; 7\/31\/26 for panel meetings, with an additional meeting the week of 8\/5\/26 to make final funding recommendations)<\/li>\n<li>Prepare \u201cpanel summaries\u201d for an assigned subset of proposals to provide constructive feedback to the applicants (August 2026)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Student Proposal Review Committee members will receive $500 towards conference travel or other professional development activity conducted between July 1, 2026 and June 30, 2027.<\/p>\n<p>The Call for Applications below contains more information, including eligibility requirements, expectations of committee membership, and application guidelines.
