The FBI has recently announced that college students nationwide are being targeted by scammers with fake job opportunities. These scammers ask for personal and bank information. Montclair State University Career Services reminds all students that a legitimate employer will not ask for personal information prior to being hired.

These scammers are reportedly targeting students via their University email account. Students are urged to report such incidents immediately to either The Center for Career Services ( or the University Police Department (
