At Montclair State University, who you are matters just as much as where you’re going, and we want to help you with that. Join over 5,200 students for the complete college experience by living on campus! You’ll become part of a diverse, inclusive campus community, and gain a sense of personal independence that will stay with you throughout the course of your life.

Why Live on Campus?

Residence Life offers a multitude of different styles and spaces to make your home, away from home, as comfortable as possible! With many different and unique residence halls, you can join the residential community that’s perfect for you. We offer apartment, suite, and community style living options all across campus to students of any class standing.

Why Apply Now?

The campus is booming with excitement and you’re going to want to stick around after classes to experience it all. You can take in performances at our state-of-the-art Alexander Kasser Theater, pursue your interests through more than 120 clubs and organizations, or just hang out on our scenic campus. And with the lights of Manhattan dotting our horizon, few universities bring you closer to the city, or your dreams.

Where Do I Start?

If traffic has got you down and living on campus will bring you up, your first step to becoming a Red Hawk Resident this spring is to submit a $300.00 housing application fee through your NEST account. This will create your application to submit preferences for your ideal housing assignment.
