Financial Aid SAP Deadline: Friday, July 6, 2018.
Are you a returning Montclair State University student applying for financial aid this fall? Did you know your Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) can impact your financial aid eligibility?
The University’s SAP policy measures whether or not each student is progressing at a reasonable rate towards graduation. Federal regulations require all students enrolled in undergraduate, graduate or certificate programs to maintain certain academic requirements to remain eligible for financial aid. Read more at: SAP Regulations.
How to Check Your Status
If you are passing SAP standards, no action is required. If you are not passing SAP and want to be considered for financial aid, follow the appeal instructions that appear in your NEST account under Financial Aid.
Filing a SAP Appeal
If you need to file an appeal, original instructions were sent via University email and NEST mid-June. A copy of the appeal form and instructions are available on NEST under the Financial Aid section. Deadline: Friday, July 6 by 4:30 p.m.
