April Campus Events to Support Education and Awareness.

Attend Upcoming Events this April!

The Office for Social Justice and Diversity is sponsoring events on campus to support education and awareness.

Open Arms – Justice for Education

A discussion about sexual assault and response on college campuses. Join us in a safe sharing environment.

  • Tuesday, April 2, 7-8 p.m.
  • Student Center, Room 417

Take Back the Night

Provides survivors of sexual assault, intimate partner violence and domestic violence a platform to speak about their experiences. All are welcome to attend; we ask attendees to be respectful of experiences shared.

  • Thursday, April 4
  • 5-6 p.m., march in the Student Center Quad and show your support
  • 6-10 p.m., join the “Speak Out” Student Center Annex, Red Hawk Nest

Day of Action

Stop by our table to talk about all forms of sexual violence. Learn about resources, how-to support a friend, or get involved via bystander intervention and other prevention outreach activities.

“On the Down Low” – Escaping R. Kelly

The Office for Social Justice and Diversity and the Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies course on Writing Women Safe presents a discussion and dialogue on R. Kelly, sexual assault, race and everything in between. Come listen and share your thoughts.

Clothesline Project

Individuals affected by any and all forms of violence can decorate a t-shirt to express their thoughts and emotions. The shirts will be displayed on a clothesline for exhibition as testimony to the individual’s experience.

The Hunting Ground Screening
