University Hall on a sunny day.

On Tuesday, June 25, 2019, an ESTIMATED bill for the fall 2019 semester will be available in NEST.

This Is An Estimate…

This bill reflects your balance using ESTIMATED costs including tuition, fees, room and board (if applicable) and the University health insurance premium for full-time students (See Waive Your Insurance below).

Please Note: Full-time enrollment for undergraduates is twelve (12) or more credits; graduate students are enrolled full-time at nine (9) or more credits.

  • This bill also shows the estimated financial aid (as of now) to be applied to your account and the resulting estimated net amount that will be due.
  • You may use this ESTIMATED bill for your financial planning well before the payment deadline and as a point of reference when requesting funds from a 529 Plan, private loans, financial aid, etc.
  • An official bill will be available in the end of July. All costs are subject to change by the Board of Trustees when they adopt a final budget for academic year 2019-20.

Please Note: You are responsible for reading your emails regularly via your Montclair State University email account. At the end of July, a bill showing the official Board of Trustees approved rates will be available via NEST. An email notification will be sent to your University email address once the official bills are posted in NEST.

Important Notes about Your Estimated Bill

  • Any adjustments to your fall 2019 schedule (e.g. adding or dropping courses, changing housing or meal plan), will affect your estimated and final bill.
    • Your bill will update at the end of each business day to reflect any changes made to your schedule.
  • Recent Parent PLUS or private loan applications may not be reflected on this estimated bill.
  • Students are billed on a semester basis (fall, winter, spring and summer). Montclair State University reserves the right to change tuition, fees, health insurance premium and room and board every academic year.
