Fall 2020 Official Bill Now Available

Your bill for the fall 2020 semester is now available in NEST.

This is a Bill for Tuition, Fees, Health Insurance, Housing and Meal Plan

This bill reflects your balance using costs including tuition, fees, and the University health insurance premium for full-time* students, plus any applicable housing and meal plans. You may use this bill for your financial planning well before the payment deadline and as a point of reference when requesting funds from a 529 Plan, private loans, financial aid, etc.

*Full-time student status for insurance is considered twelve (12) or more credits for undergraduates and nine (9) or more credits for graduate students.

Finding Your Bill

  • Log into NEST using your University NetID and password.
  • Navigate to the “Pay My Bill” portlet and select “Statement and Payment History.”
  • Select “Account Summary By Term.” Here you will see your fall 2020 bill which is based on your enrolled credits, fees, financial aid, meal plans, and room and board if applicable.
  • Weekly invoices are also emailed to your Montclair State University email address.

Payment Due Date

The due date for your Fall 2020 payment is Monday, August 17, 2020. If you enroll in a payment plan, please refer to the payment schedule that is emailed to your MSU email address upon successful enrollment.

Important Notes About Your Bill

  • Please ensure you review the Montclair State University Financial Responsibility Agreement.
  • This bill shows your financial aid (as of now) that will be applied to your account and the resulting net amount that will be due.
  • Any adjustments to your fall 2020 schedule (e.g. adding or dropping courses, changing housing, or meal plan), may affect your bill.  If you maintained 12 – 18 credits the flat rate cost will not change.
  • Your bill will be updated at the end of each business day to reflect any changes made to your schedule.
  • Recent Parent PLUS or private loan applications may not be reflected in the estimated aid amount on this bill.
  • Students are billed on a semester basis (fall, winter, spring, and summer). Montclair State University reserves the right to change tuition, fees, health insurance premium, and room and board every academic year.

Waive or Purchase Your University Health Insurance

Montclair State University requires undergraduate students enrolled in twelve (12) or more credits and graduate students enrolled in nine (9) or more credits to carry health insurance. All students that meet this criteria are automatically assessed the applicable charge for this health insurance coverage and will be responsible for this charge unless coverage is waived as described below. The waiver/enrollment website officially opens the week of July 20, 2020.

  • If you wish to waive the University Health Insurance, you must provide proof of alternative coverage by completing the online waiver prior to the deadline of Monday, September 28, 2020.
  • If you wish to enroll in (purchase) the University Health Insurance, administered by Aetna Student Health, you may self enroll prior to the University enrollment period.
  • If you do not complete a waiver by September 28, 2020, you will be automatically enrolled in the Aetna University Health Insurance after the waiver deadline.
