Posted in: Academic, Announcements, Featured News, Red Hawk Central, Red Hawk News

Dear Students:

The academic calendar for the spring and summer terms has been finalized. Please review the Important Dates for students website to view the most up-to-date information.

Highlights include:

  • Spring Semester 2021 will begin Monday, February 8 and end Friday, May 21.
  • There will be no Spring Break, in order to allow for the later start of the semester and to reduce the risk of bringing the virus back to campus after the break.
  • Classes will meet and the University will be open on Friday, April 2 – Good Friday.
  • Summer Sessions will begin Monday, May 24.

Please Note: Some graduate special programs may have different course dates. If you have questions, please ask your graduate program coordinator or doctoral program director.

Spring Course Modalities

Spring courses will be delivered in multiple ways. Some will be entirely remote, some will be entirely in-person, and some will be a mixture of online and on-campus delivery. Different sections of the same course may be delivered differently. Please look carefully at the syllabi or other descriptions of the courses you are registered for and understand the expectations for attendance. If your course requires attendance on campus, please be prepared to do so. You can learn about the different ways that courses are delivered by visiting the course modalities web page on the Red Hawk Central website.

Commencement 2021

We expect to announce the dates of Commencement exercises in early March.

I wish everyone a successful conclusion to the fall semester and a happy holiday season.

Sincerely,

Willard P. Gingerich
Provost and Vice President, Academic Affairs
