Ready, Set, Campus Rec!

Free Group X Classes, Personal Training, Bike Lending, Open Swim & Lessons, Club & E-sports…more!

Who else is excited for the semester? We have so many events planned and are so eager to see more Red Hawks back on campus! We have it all at the Student Recreation Center to keep you active and engaged in-person and virtually, from Rec Nights, Jackbox Zoom parties, bingo to fitness challenges, Club Sports and FREE Group X Classes! Fitness floors open Monday, February 8 and the building will be open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Saturday, 12-6 p.m. throughout the semester.

Free Fitness for You!

Let’s get fit this new year with Group X, Personal Training and Hawk on Wheels! Beginning Monday, February 8, Group X will be back with both in-person and online classes for you! Did we mention all classes are free?! Pre-registration is required for in-person Group X Classes, but feel free to drop-in any of the online classes!

For those interested, Personal Training is also ready to take on some new clients via online, indoor and outdoor training. Make sure you sign up as soon as you can so you can avoid the waiting list! Please Note: At this time, only currently enrolled students will be allowed to sign up for Personal Training.

Additionally, we want to assure you that Hawk on Wheels still will be shifting its gears this spring! Bike lending will continue all semester. Email hawkonwheels@gmail.com to secure your bike and be informed about pickup options.

Do you love to play sports competitively but not interested in committing to the rigorous Intercollegiate Athletic schedule? Check out our Club Sports teams! We offer everything from Swimming to Table Tennis; from Softball to Rugby to Wrestling and tons more! You can participate in your favorite sport or even try a brand new one. Calling all Women – Learn to Play Hockey!

Have you always wanted to learn how to play hockey? We have the perfect opportunity! Any female Montclair State student can come and learn to play hockey at the Montclair State Ice Arena at NO CHARGE! Classes are on Wednesday nights at 8:40 p.m. and they run from Wednesday, February 10 – Wednesday, March 31. Loaner equipment is available for the duration of the class. Register Online!

Esports Team Openings

Ever wanted to be in an Esports organization? MSUEA is looking for competitive players to play for tournaments in Call of Duty, League of Legends and Rainbow Six Siege! Beginning Monday, February 8, the following Esports Teams will be open to join!

Just Keep Swimming

Take a splash this semester during our open swim hours beginning Monday, February 8. The pool will be open Monday-Friday from 9-10:30 a.m. and 4-5:30 p.m. and pre-registration is required. Also, don’t miss out on some FREE swim lessons being offered on Wednesdays, 4-5 p.m. Now is the perfect time to get in the water and learn how to swim!
