The Center for Student Involvement (CSI) is bursting with student activities in-person and virtually for you this spring! If you’re on campus, online or a mix of both, CSI has all of your needs covered. From DIY fish tanks, trivia nights, soap roses, make your own Jellyfish plants, stuff a plush and more, there’s plenty of fun to be had! Near, far, wherever you are, with programming happening daily, be sure to stay up to date with Weekends at Montclair (WAM) and Commuter Life on Engage and social media so you don’t miss out!
Find Your Fit
Did you know Montclair State has over 100+ clubs and organizations for you to join? This spring CSI will be hosting multiple involvement fairs for you to find your new home. Discover people with shared interests or meet totally new people from diverse backgrounds. There’s something out there for everyone! You can watch videos created by our clubs or even meet them in real time. Did you know that many clubs meet weekly, host their own events and are a great way to destress? What are you waiting for!?
Go Greek!
Greek Life is one of the deepest traditions at Montclair State University and our one-of-a-kind Greek community is home to many student leaders on campus. Each organization is governed by our Greek Council, and you can learn more about councils, chapters and leadership requirements on the council web page. Interested in joining a fraternity or sorority? You’ll have the opportunity this semester! You will need to have completed 12 credits and a minimum 2.7 GPA (cumulative) before you’re eligible to join. Please Note: All intake processes will be online this semester. While a lot of our organizations will take new members this semester, not all of them will, so be patient and stay connected to the organizations you’re interested in.
In the meantime, check out the Engage pages for our currently active organizations, where you can find contact information and their social media! Here you can discover which organization might be the right fit for you. Additionally, follow us on Instagram for information about our upcoming Greek Organization Fair and to connect to all of the orgs! If you’re interested in joining one of our NPC organizations this semester, you must participate in Primary Recruitment, Friday, February 19 – Monday, February 22, 2021. Interested women must sign up in advance by the deadline of Friday, February 12. If you have further questions about how you can get involved in the Greek community email greeklife@montclair.edu.
Gaming from Anywhere
This spring CSI is bringing you trivia in various formats that you can play from wherever you are! Do you know a lot about Harry Potter? Are you the #1 Spongebob fan? Can you name that pasta shape? This semester we’re even offering random trivia for you to flex your muscles! There will be opportunities to play in real time, online, with others and we’re also offering mini challenges that can be done on your own time. Beyond trivia, we will be hosting Virtual Escape Rooms, Campus Feud, Bingo and more! Did we mention there will be tons of prizes?
