Registration: Seamless Login & Waiting Room Feature

Registration for Fall 2025 starts Friday, March 28, and we’ve got two important updates to make the process smoother (and to help keep the system running).

Duo Login for Registration Week

To make logging in easier during Registration Week, the “Remember Me” period for Duo will be extended to 10 days from March 26 to April 5! That means you won’t have to verify your login every time—just once per week!

How to Enable It ✅

When logging in, check the box that says “Yes, this is my device.” As long as you use the same device and browser, you won’t need to verify with Duo again for 10 days.

Heads Up:

• If you switch devices or clear your browser history, you’ll need to re-authenticate.
• On April 5, Duo’s “Remember Me” will return to the usual 8-hour window.

New: Registration Waiting Room ⏳

To ensure a smooth registration experience for everyone, we’ve implemented a virtual waiting room, courtesy of Queue-it, during peak registration periods. If many students are registering simultaneously, you’ll be placed in a queue and automatically advanced when it’s your turn. This will help maintain system stability and provide a fair registration process for all students. Queue-it will display your position in line and estimated wait time. We appreciate your patience as we work to make registration as efficient as possible for everyone. Learn More about Queue-it and How To Use It!

Here’s what to expect:

• If the registration system is at capacity when it’s your time to register, you’ll be automatically placed into a waiting room and given an estimated wait time.
• You can choose the “Notify Me” option once placed in the queue. To do so you will enter your Montclair email. You will then receive two emails—one confirming your spot in line and another when it’s your turn.
• If you leave the page, you’ll need to confirm you still want to register when you return.
• Once you’re in, you won’t need to wait again unless you clear cookies or switch browsers/devices.

Please Note: There is no waiting room for browsing classes or preparing for registration.
