{"id":217509,"date":"2026-02-21T10:24:17","date_gmt":"2026-02-21T15:24:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/student-services\/?p=217509"},"modified":"2026-02-22T12:45:18","modified_gmt":"2026-02-22T17:45:18","slug":"winter-storm-update-remote-monday-february-23","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/student-services\/2026\/02\/21\/winter-storm-update-remote-monday-february-23\/","title":{"rendered":"Winter Storm Update: Remote Monday, February 23"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Due to the incoming winter storm, both campuses of Montclair State University will shift to <strong>fully remote operations beginning Sunday, February 22 at 3 pm and continuing on Monday, February 23<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>There will be <strong>no<\/strong> in-person activities, classes or meetings on both the Montclair and Bloomfield campuses. All offices and the libraries will provide online services only.<\/p>\n<p>Essential employees should report as scheduled. All other employees are expected to work remotely. Any previously-approved time off will be charged.<\/p>\n<p>The University plans to resume <strong>normal operations on Tuesday, February 24<\/strong>. A message will be sent if that plan changes.<\/p>\n<h2>Moving Vehicles and Parking<\/h2>\n<p>All cars must be moved to designated parking areas by <strong>Sunday, February 22 at 3 p.m.<\/strong> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">so that our facilities team can properly clear the snow.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Montclair Campus<\/h3>\n<p>Vehicles on the Montclair campus must be moved from surface parking lots to either the <strong>Red Hawk Parking Deck <\/strong>or the<strong> CarParc Diem Parking Deck<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you have any questions, please contact Parking Services at 973-655-7580 or <a href=\"mailto:parking@montclair.edu\">parking@montclair.edu<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Bloomfield Campus<\/h3>\n<p>Bloomfield Campus students <strong>parking in Lot B1 must park on the eastern side of the lot in the area designated for snow removal parking.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Questions can be directed to Bloomfield Campus Security at 973-655-2525.<\/p>\n<h2>Additional Details<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is essential for all drivers to stay off campus roads during the storm. This is for your safety and so our facilities team can properly clear the snow.<\/li>\n<li>All in-person activities, including performances, meetings, athletic events on both campuses will be <strong>cancelled effective 3 p.m. on Sunday<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Shuttles will stop running at <strong>3 p.m. on Sunday, February 22<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The Student Center and Student Recreation Center on the Montclair Campus will <strong>close beginning at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 22<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Sprague Library will not be open for in-person services on Sunday, February 22.
