About AASHE<\/h2>\n

The Association\u00a0for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education<\/a>\u00a0 (AASHE) is the leading association for the advancement of sustainability in higher education. They serve a full range of higher education faculty, administrators, staff, and students who are change agents and drivers of sustainability innovation. Established in 2005, AASHE is comprised of over 900 members across 48 U.S. states, 1 U.S. Territory, 9 Canadian provinces and 20 countries.<\/p>\n

Montclair is a member of AASHE and all campus community members are eligible to sign-up<\/a>\u00a0for a free account which will allow them to access AASHE\u2019s\u00a0resource hub<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0communities<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System\u2122\u00a0(STARS) is a transparent, self-reporting framework for colleges and universities to measure their sustainability performance.<\/span><\/p>\n

STARS\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0is intended to engage and recognize the full spectrum of higher education institutions, from community colleges to research universities. It encompasses long-term sustainability goals for already high-achieving institutions, as well as entry points of recognition for institutions that are taking first steps toward sustainability.\u00a0STARS is designed to:<\/p>\n
