{"id":206149,"date":"2018-05-11T14:16:23","date_gmt":"2018-05-11T18:16:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/theatre-and-dance\/?page_id=206149"},"modified":"2025-09-16T18:22:33","modified_gmt":"2025-09-16T22:22:33","slug":"admission-bfa-production-and-design","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/theatre-and-dance\/admission\/admission-bfa-production-and-design\/","title":{"rendered":"Admission to BFA Theatre: Design, Technology and Management Concentration"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"prpl-step-group\"><div class=\"prpl-step\"><div class=\"prpl-step-number\"><span class=\"label-part\">Step<\/span> <span class=\"number-part\">1<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"prpl-step-content\"><div class=\"prpl-drawer\"><div class=\"prpl-drawer-header\">Major-Specific Guidelines<\/div><div class=\"prpl-drawer-content\">\n<p>To be considered for admission to the BFA in Theatre Design, Technology and Management program, students must first submit an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/admissions\/apply\/\"><strong>online application<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0to Montclair State University, then follow the guidelines below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Applicants should be an incoming freshman or sophomore.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The University application will request the following:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Transcripts<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Digital submission of any of the following:\u00a0 sample paperwork, artistic and graphic work, working drawings and\/or sketches.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Resume of experience<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Partner Organization interview alternative<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Applicants submitting an interview who <em>instead<\/em> choose to participate in an interview conducted by a Partner Organization must register online for their preferred event.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Partner Organizations include National Unified auditions, Moonifieds, CAP, Mid-Atlantic Regional auditions and NJ Thespian Festival<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Applicants must complete and submit an <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/apply\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">online application<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to Montclair State University before scheduling an interview through one of our Partner Organizations.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><span style=\"color: #000000\">Once you have submitted your application to the University, you will be invited to schedule an interview on one of the following dates.
