{"id":14659,"date":"2015-06-02T09:17:58","date_gmt":"2015-06-02T13:17:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/news\/article.php?ArticleID=14659"},"modified":"2015-06-02T09:17:58","modified_gmt":"2015-06-02T13:17:58","slug":"14659_peak-performances-honored-as-innovator-in-arts-accessibility-by-nj-theatre-alliance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/theatre-and-dance\/2015\/06\/02\/14659_peak-performances-honored-as-innovator-in-arts-accessibility-by-nj-theatre-alliance\/","title":{"rendered":"Peak Performances Honored as Innovator in Arts Accessibility by NJ Theatre Alliance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On June 18, 2015, the New Jersey Theatre Alliance and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts will present Peak Performances at Montclair State University with a Cultural Access Network (CAN) Innovator Award for its innovation and commitment to increasing access to the arts for people with disabilities. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In its announcement of the awards, New Jersey Theatre Alliance said, &quot;Dedicated to engaging audiences as well as artists with disabilities, Peak Performances featured three innovative productions in its 2014\/15 season. &nbsp;In Robert Whitman&#8217;s <em>Swim<\/em>, each audience member had a distinct experience, employing all the senses &#8211; not just sight and sound.
