Special Events

The Special/Public Events Office plans, manages and executes all of the logistical and promotional aspects associated with large-scale, high-profile signature and ceremonial events that are open to the general public and advance the institutional mission of the university. These responsibilities will cover events held both on and off campus. The types of events typically handled by the Special/Public Events Office team shall include, but are not limited to, Homecoming, the Red Hawk Open, the Annual Scholarship Dinner, Convocations, Commencement, Groundbreaking Ceremonies, and Building Openings.
