Science Hall Renamed Irvin D. Reid Hall<\/a><\/h2>\n

Science Hall is being renamed for former President Irvin D. Reid, who served from 1989 to 1997 and ushered in important changes at Montclair, including lobbying for the state to elevate it from college to university status in 1994 and laying the groundwork for its evolution to a doctoral research institution. Meet Pebbles, Our New \u2018Pupscot\u2019<\/h2>\n

Our mascot Rocky the Red Hawk, has a new best friend. Pebbles, a mini chocolate labradoodle<\/a>, will join Rocky in spreading joy and Red Hawk pride on campus. When she\u2019s older she\u2019ll train as a therapy dog, but she\u2019s already putting smiles on students\u2019 faces.

Red Hawks Are Heading to the Dance!<\/h2>\n

For the first time in 20 years, the men\u2019s basketball team has earned a bid to the Division III Men\u2019s Basketball Tournament<\/a>. The Red Hawks earned one of 20 Pool-C at-large bids. Head coach Justin Potts was named Coach of the Year, and senior forward Steven Breeman was named Player of the Year by the New Jersey Athletic Conference.
