The Biosphere and Beyond

This course will run on Monday, June 28 and Monday, August 23

Beginning at the relevant macroscopic limits of our planet, Earth, Sun, and Moon, describes how celestial bodies affect the planet, its inhabitants, and the rest of the biosphere. Following that, Journey to the Center of the Earth, details how even our familiar planet holds a vast amount of secrets just beneath the surface. Returning to the crust, Happy Habitats explores how the changes across the Earth’s surface (some of which aforementioned in the previous presentations) work together to create a patchwork of habitats and climes. Finishing off the day, Wild New Jersey, encourages attendees to look with new appreciation at their home state and the variety of habitats and species therein.
