Heather Zises is an Adjunct Professor of Visual Culture in the Department of Art and Design. With extensive experience as an editor and writer, she is recognized for her expertise in digital content development and social media strategy. Heather's multi-award-winning book, '50 Contemporary Women Artists' (Schiffer, 2018), is available nationwide at leading art institutions, university libraries, and art hotels. Heather is the founder of Avril Media Group, a strategic communications company specializing in content development, public relations and art marketing. Her professional background also includes key roles at prestigious art organizations such as Pace Gallery and Phillips, where she curated numerous exhibitions and site-specific installations at galleries, art fairs, and alternative spaces. Heather holds a BA in English from Cornell University and an MA in Art History and Connoisseurship from Christie’s Education.
