WILLIAMS NAMED NJAC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK FOR SECOND STRAIGHT WEEK; FIFTH TIME OVERALL

Montclair, NJ (3/3/08) – Freshman guard James Williams (right) was named the NJAC Rookie of the Week on Monday. It is the second straight week and fifth time overall this season that the conference's Rookie of the Year has claimed the honor.

MSU SEASON ENDS IN NJAC SEMIFINALS; RED HAWKS FALL TO WILLIAM PATERSON, 71-61

Wayne, NJ (2/28/08) – Freshman guard James Williams (right) recorded his fourth 20-point gamein the last five contests finishing with 21 points, but it wasn;t enough as Montclair State was eliminated from the NJAC Tournament with a 71-61 loss to William Paterson in the semifinals on Thursday evening. Sophomore guard Ken Dudley added 14 points as the Red Hawks ended their most successful season in five years at 16-11.

WILLIAMS NAMED NJAC ROOKIE OF THE YEAR; FIORE TABBED COACH OF THE YEAR

Montclair, NJ (2/28/08) – Enjoying its best season in the last five years, the Montclair State men’s basketball team picked up several accolades as the NJAC released its 2008 All-Conference Team on Thursday. Freshman guard James Williams was named the Rookie of the Year while sophomore guard Ken Dudley (right) was named to the Second Team. Head coach Ted Fiore was chosen as the Coach of the Year.
