Please join the English Department in welcoming Dr. Kate Ronald to campus on Thursday, April 24 for her talk, "Students Rhetorical Desires and Our Writing Assignments." Open to faculty across campus, this talk will focus on ways for faculty from all disciplines to construct and integrate meaningful writing assignments for their students.

A writing teacher for over 30 years and author/editor of five books on writing and rhetoric, Kate is one of Writing StudiesÂ’ national leaders. She is currently directing MiamiÂ’s nationally-recognized writing center, the Center for Writing Excellence, and previously directed the Howe Writing Initiative, a writing across the curriculum program.

This talk will take place on Thursday, April 24th from 3:00-4:00 in Cohen Lounge.
