Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Blane De St. Croix was educated at Cranbrook Academy of Art, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan (M.F.A. Sculpture) and Massachusetts College of Art, Boston, Massachusetts (B.F.A. Sculpture with distinction). He is currently an Associate Professor and the Head of Sculpture at Indiana University, Bloomington. De St. Croix lives and works in both Brooklyn, NY and Bloomington, IN. His work is represented by Fredericks & Freiser, New York, NY.

Blane De St. Croix’s work has been widely exhibited both nationally and internationally, in solo and group show. He has been the recipient of numerous grants and awards. Select awards include: The John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship; The Joan Mitchell Foundation Grant for Painters and Sculptors; The Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant; The West Collection Prize; The MassArt Alumni Award for Outstanding Creative Accomplishment; and a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in Sculpture.


Art Forum is a weekly program for undergraduate and graduate students, and the public. The program brings in artists, designers, art historians and art critics from around the world to present their work and ideas in an open forum. It is also a course (ARGS 280, 3 SH). Admission is free.
