Joseph Smith Memorial Concert
Friends and colleagues of pianist Joseph Smith will present a memorial concert on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at 3 pm in Leshowitz Recital Hall at the Cali School of Music.
Pianists Kimball Gallagher, Olegna Fuschi, Steven Ryan, David Witten, Lisa Yui, Ralph Nieweem, Claire Aebersold and tenor Robert Cart will perform works by Puccini, Ponce, Bach, Schumann, Beach, Borodin and Chopin.
The afternoon will include a video from February 2014 of Joseph Smith performing with Ruth Rendleman.
Speaking in remembrance: Daniel Smith, Stuart Isacoff, Carol Shookhoff, Arturo Ciompi, Lou Kosma, David Dubal.
Contributions to the Joseph Smith Piano Scholarship Fund can be made to “Montclair State University Foundation” with “JJCSoM Smith Scholarship” in the memo.
