The star party goes from 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. on February 18, March 17 and April 14.
You'll See:
- Constellations - Taurus, Orion, and Gemini, January to March.
- The Moon - featured on January 21, February 18, March 17, and April 14.
- Planets - Jupiter and its moons, March to May.
- Star clusters - Pleiades and the Beehive, January to March.
- Galaxies - Andromeda, January and February.
- and more - Orion Nebula, January to March.
Our telescopes cannot see through clouds! Public Telescope Night will be cancelled if the weather is cloudy, very cold (< 20 F) or very windy. It is considered clear if you can see the moon or ten stars clearly. Call 973-594-6524 after 6:00 p.m. on Thursday evenings for a pre-recorded message indicating if telescope night is cancelled.
