I currently teach first year writing (ENWR 105 and 106) and creative writing (fiction) at MSU. I am the chair of the Creative Writing Committee, and a member of the Professional Development Committee, which runs pedagogy and professional development workshops for faculty. As part of the Creative Writing Committee, I have co-created and run creative writing workshops for 105 and 106 students. Prior to teaching at MSU, I taught first year writing at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Drew University, and Lasell College. In addition to teaching I am also a fiction writer. My work has been published in different venues such as Prick of the Spindle and Cleaver Magazine. I am an equal opportunity coffee enthusiast and a multi-instrumentalist. When not teaching or writing I can usually be found lost in the bins of a dusty record store.
