Zachary Briewell joined Montclair State University's Theatre and Dance Department in the Fall of 2021, as an Adjunct Professor and Assistant Electrician. A graduate of Rutgers University Mason Gross with a degree in Theater Design: Lighting, Zachary has been a Freelance Lighting Designer in both NYC and NJ, served as an assistant to Broadway lighting designers, toured the USA, and even dabbled in commercial lighting design.
Zachary has been involved in the education of emerging theatre artists since 2018; having sat as a guest speaker for round tables at Rutgers University Mason Gross and has mentored students at both The Juilliard School & Montclair State University.
Zachary was most recently appointed as Staff Lighting Technician for the department.
