Helen Castillo is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology with a focus on Special Occasion and Bridal design. She has participated in three seasons of Project Runway/Project Runway All Stars US and with this experience, opened many doors to the world of bespoke and couture commissions for a diverse range of clientele. Most recently completed her Masters in Fine Arts Education from NJCU, and hopes to pursue her Doctorate in Apparel Studies in the upcoming Fall semester. The opportunity to educate in fashion design came as many admirers of her aesthetic and attention to detail with each challenge on Project Runway allowed her to share the importance of expression and willingness to work with clients of all shapes and sizes. Having developed more than 25 accepted portfolios to FIT, Parsons New School, SCAD, and CSM - this experience led her to MSU to teach at the higher education level. The incredible experience of teaching at Montclair State University has given her the opportunity to work with students while helping them development career-bound goals and explore internship opportunities ahead of their graduation.
