Meagan earned her MA here at MSU in 2016 and has been a part of the part-time First-Year Writing faculty since September of that same year. She has been working as a freelance tutor and editor for over a decade. While completing her studies, she worked as a Writing Consultant at the Center for Writing Excellence. Her thesis was focused on creating a more student-centered environment in the classroom through the practical inclusion of student voice and incorporation of student choice. Meagan is proud to have received a student-nominated award from the Office of Social Justice and Diversity for the 2018-2019 academic year. She teaches WRIT105 and WRIT106 at MSU with a blend of empathy and expertise that has been crafted with care over many years working with diverse groups of students.
