Profile

Bryan DeNovellis joined the Montclair State faculty in the Spring 2025 as an Assistant Professor of Sports Communication and Media, and Coordinating Producer of studio content for Red Hawk Sports Network.
Bryan is a long-time sports broadcaster and podcaster with more than 30 years of experience in the sports broadcasting industry. His journey in television sports began at ESPN as a production assistant in 1993. As a sports broadcaster and reporter, Bryan worked at places like News 12 New Jersey, MSG Networks, WFSB-TV in Hartford, CT and Time Warner Cable. He's covered two Super Bowls, multiple NBA Finals, Stanley Cup Finals and College Basketball Final Fours. He is an award-winning sportscaster, winning the New Jersey Associated Press award for best sportscast or feature three times.
Since 2021, Bryan has hosted and produced the Tri-State College Basketball Podcast, which covers men's and women's basketball programs in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut tri-state area.
Prior to Montclair State, Bryan was a high school television production teacher at Holmdel High School in Holmdel, NJ for 12 and a half years. He was named Holmdel High School's Teacher of the Year in 2021.
Bryan graduated from Seton Hall University with a BA in Communication, and earned his master's degree from Quinnipiac University in Interactive Media and Communication.
