Johayra holds a Bachelor of Science in Television and Radio with a minor in Sports Studies from Ithaca College, as well as a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership in Higher Education from Montclair State University. As a first-generation college graduate and fluent Spanish speaker, she is committed to supporting and connecting with a diverse student population.

She serves as an Academic Advisor in the Discovery Program, where she works with pre-major students to explore their interests and identify the academic path that best fits their goals. Johayra also teaches New Student Seminar as an Adjunct Faculty and actively advances student success initiatives as part of the GNED 199 Redesign Committee.

She is passionate about helping students navigate their academic journeys and make informed decisions about their future.
