Ivan Lopez serves as an Academic Advisor and Adjunct Faculty for the Discovery Program, bringing a strong academic foundation and a genuine commitment to student success. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Family Science and Human Development from Montclair State University, a Master of Science in Education (MSEd) in Student Affairs and College Counseling from Monmouth University, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Montclair State University.

Ivan is dedicated to supporting students through a holistic approach to advising, recognizing that academic success is deeply connected to personal growth and overall well-being. He is particularly passionate about serving first-generation college students, understanding the distinct challenges they face and the determination it takes to navigate higher education. A significant focus of his work is guiding pre-major students in identifying the academic path that best aligns with their strengths, interests, and long-term goals. He takes great professional fulfillment in helping students move from uncertainty to clarity as they take their first steps toward a meaningful college experience.
