Dr. Marquez serves as an academic advisor in the College of Communication and Media. She joined the college in 2023, bringing more than 10 years of professional experience in academic advising and counseling. A two-time alumna of Montclair State University, she earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Counseling. She also holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Caldwell University.

At CCOM, Dr. Marquez advises a caseload of first and second-year students and supports upperclassmen with graduation planning assistance. She also serves as an adjunct professor, teaching New Student Seminar and Fundamentals of Communication. In addition, Dr. Marquez supervises and coordinates the CCOM Peer Advisor Program and the Fellows/Peer Mentor Program.
