BIO:
Kelly Mieth is the Web & Digital Creative Director for the College of Humanities and social Sciences. Kelly collaborates with college leadership and the Director of Communications to develop and execute promotional and content strategies to advance the college’s objectives and to increase brand awareness and community engagement for existing programs and new initiatives. Kelly leads the creative direction of the college’s digital content and works to develop and maintain a vibrant, informative, and engaging online presence for the college’s departments, institutes and centers. Kelly works with college stakeholders to assess their digital needs, recommends solutions and develop action plans that align with their goals, as well as design integrated marketing campaigns for special events and initiatives with the aim of creating a cohesive and consistent image and message across various media channels.

Specialization

• Promote the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) through oversight and management of the CHSS website and digital platforms to publicize college events and news.

• Partner with department chairs and faculty to develop engaging web content that accurately reflects departmental goals, programs, and strengths, while also recommending structural and navigation changes to streamline content and improve user experience.

• Collaborate with college leadership to develop and execute digital strategies that advance the college’s mission, elevate its public profile, and ensure that the website and digital platforms reflect CHSS’s values, goals, and academic strengths.

• Work with University Communications to implement university-wide digital directives, including web redesigns and platform changes, while identifying and advocating for the distinct needs and challenges of CHSS.

• Design and produce visual assets (graphics, photography, and video) that align with the CHSS brand and enhances engagement across web, digital signage, and print platforms.

• Ensure all digital content adheres to the university’s brand strategy, messaging, and digital accessibility guidelines.

• Create and update best practices documentation for the college’s digital tools, including web content management systems, calendar systems, and digital signage.
