Profile

Dr. Bisola Neil’s work at Montclair State University focuses on preparing aspiring and current school leaders to connect vision, systems, curriculum, and classroom practice. Her teaching in the Department of Educational Leadership centers on curriculum leadership, school improvement, equity, belonging, and the use of research and data to support ethical and responsive educational decision-making.

A former mathematics teacher and school leader, Dr. Neil brings a practice-based lens to leadership preparation. Her current scholarly interests include Black educator leadership and retention, instructional coherence, high-quality instructional materials, multilingual learners in mathematics, school culture and climate, and QuantCrit-informed approaches to understanding equity and belonging in schools.
