Jennifer Ortiz joined the Grow NJ Kids (GNJK) Rating Team at CREEHS in 2023, bringing a unique professional journey and a deep commitment to early childhood education.
Jennifer began her career in wholesale apparel sales, where she developed strong skills in organization, communication, and building meaningful relationships. In 2015, she followed her passion for working with young children and transitioned into education, serving as a public school preschool teacher for eight years. During her time in the classroom, she created nurturing, engaging learning environments that supported children’s social-emotional development, curiosity, and foundational skills.
At CREEHS, Jennifer serves as the Classroom Observations Coordinator, managing the classroom observation component of the Grow NJ Kids (GNJK) rating process. In this role, she oversees the scheduling and work of Independent Raters housed at CREEHS, conducts classroom observations, and processes and summarizes ratings.
Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology and a Master of Arts in Teaching in Early Childhood Education from NJCU.
