In addition to being a faculty member at Montclair State University, I am a licensed and certified athletic trainer, as well as a certified personal trainer, behavior change specialist, and corrective exercise specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I teach primarily within the MS in Athletic Training program. My primary research interests involve understanding how mental health conditions may impact the performances of physically active individuals and evaluating the use of psychosocial interventions in the athletic training profession. I also collaborate with other colleagues on research related to implementing simulation learning in athletic training education and utilizing virtual reality and eye-tracking technology to better understand concussions.
