Undergraduate Programs

English majors will interpret and analyze literary texts from a minimum of three different genres: poetry, film, and fiction while they cultivate their professional writing skills.

Minor in English

The English Minor covers the basic tenets of analyzing and interpreting contemporary literature. Students will take one required course in the Pursuits of English combined with five elective courses that are relevant to the minor, covering subjects as varied as Major Film Genres, Toni Morrison, and Contemporary Poetry.
