The Creative Arts & Technology program at Bloomfield College is where your passion for visual storytelling, music, and digital media turns into a future-proof career. Animation 2D

Love cartoons, anime, or hand-drawn illustration? In the 2D Animation concentration, you’ll learn how to turn your sketches into fully realized characters, stories, and scenes. Courses in storyboarding, digital drawing, motion graphics, and animation principles will prepare you to bring original work to life — whether for film, TV, games, or social platforms.

Animation 3D

In the 3D Animation concentration, you’ll explore the full production pipeline — from modeling and rigging to animation and rendering. Learn how to design lifelike characters, build digital worlds, and create stunning visual effects used in everything from blockbuster films to gaming and VR. Graduate with a demo reel that shows employers what you can do.

Game Design & Development

If you’re obsessed with how games work — not just how they play — this concentration is for you. You’ll learn the fundamentals of game design, scripting, and storytelling, then build and test your own interactive experiences. You’ll collaborate on real team projects that simulate what it’s like to work in a professional game studio.

Graphic Design

Great design tells a story. In the Graphic Design concentration, you’ll explore how color, layout, typography, and branding work together to communicate powerful messages. You’ll work on real-world projects — like posters, packaging, and digital ads — and build a portfolio that gets you hired in advertising, publishing, web design, and beyond.

Music Technology

Make music that moves people — and launch a career in the studio, on stage, or behind the scenes. In this concentration, you’ll gain hands-on experience in audio recording, mixing, and production while developing your creative voice across genres. You’ll train in state-of-the-art studios using professional-grade tools, guided by faculty with industry experience. And you’ll be joining a program that’s produced Grammy-nominated producers and engineers. Whether your dream is to produce, engineer, or innovate in sound design, this is where it all starts.

Play A Student-Created Game

What if you could live your life all over again? In Aging Chances, a visual novel created by Bloomfield students Erick Melo, Sebastian Castillo, and Khalif McLendon, Chance — a quiet man nearing the end of his life — reflects on the risks he never took. When he’s given the opportunity to explore the life he could have lived, he dives into a series of alternate realities. See how every choice shapes the future in this moving, interactive experience.
