Minor

The Neuroscience Minor introduces you to the interdisciplinary study of the nervous system. You’ll explore how the brain and nervous system function in relation to behavior, cognition, and neurobiology.

This minor is ideal if you’re majoring in biology, psychology, chemistry, or other health-related fields and want to strengthen your understanding of the neural underpinnings of thought and behavior. Instruction and research will include the areas of molecular and cellular biology, anatomy and physiology of the central nervous system, systems of information processing, behavioral neuroscience, biology of brain disorders, and applications to the clinical sciences

Through a combination of core courses and electives, you’ll explore both the biological and psychological dimensions of neuroscience. The program emphasizes the integration of foundational research with applied clinical perspectives, preparing you for advanced study in fields like medicine, research, and therapy—as well as equipping you with industry-relevant skills for today’s job market.
